My wife and I have just had a fantastic meal here and we'd highly recommend the Old Brewhouse. There's a great selection on the menu and the food tasted fantastic. This coupled with superb, friendly service made for a very pleasant night out.
#OMG! You have definitely got to try the Brewhouse Burger it is amazing. Remember the type of beef burger your mum used to make when you were younger? Well this is just like that. I went all out and added the smoked applewood cheddar for an extra £2.00, if you're going to get this burger you have to add the smoked cheese. #tasty Definitely be back for more of this soon!

Abbey Street, Arbroath, Angus DD11 1EG – 01241 878756
A good example of twelfth-century abbey ruins, distinct in its unique red coloring (representative of the color of the local sandstone, which is particularly dark compared to other sandstone structures around Scotland). Despite the state of the overall abbey, the abbot's house is in remarkable shape, including a few spots of original 16th century paint. This is also the place where the famous Declaration of Arbroath was (it is believed) written in 1320. The document, written to the Pope John XXII, established a philosophical foundation for Scottish sovereignty (although the exact objectives of the letter are matters of debate). In recognition, the abbey has a useful exhibit on the history of the document, including a replica of a copy from the National Archives of Scotland. While I'm happy to have visited Arbroath, my primary interest was in seeing the (excellent) St. Vigeans Sculpted Stones museum (which I highly recommend); given their proximity, they make a convenient pairing.
Interesting site. Very informative electronic guide. The kids could do their own quest and collect gifts at the end. Excellent views for photographers.
